A veteran in the Hair Care industry. Over the past 20 years, she established a successful beauty distribution business in Asia while also being a mother to her 3 children.
Now, she's taking on the beauty industry with her own eco-conscious brand, which is lovingly formulated & made in Singapore.
What was your inspiration for The Powder Shampoo?
The inspiration for The Powder Shampoo came to me when I thought about the world my children & grandchildren would grow up in.
I learned that Greenhouse Gas Emissions will increase to 49 metric tons by 2030 and will double by 2050. This could irreversibly damage the planet we call home. At this rate, the sad reality is that my grandchildren would not know what its like to walk through a forest or a field of grass. This really shook me. I took the time to reflect on my business ethos and how, in the grand scheme of things, a lot of old practices did not make sense.
What changes did you want to make?
From there, I set out on a mission to change the way we shower. I believe there is a better, smarter, & more sustainable way for us to care for our hair & body.
I had the vision to create something that retains the cleansing power of a foaming shampoo or body wash, yet is also pleasurable, effective, & easy to use. And equally as important, how could I make it without plastic packaging?
The short story? The Powder Shampoo was born.

I use our Strengthening & Soothing Shampoo every day, so I don't have to think about what's in my haircare and what that haircare is doing to the planet. After a long day as a Mom and business owner, I want something I know will work & that aligns with my values as a human.
