Founder

THE POWDER SHAMPOO and THE POWDER FOAM WASH were created by industry veteran and our Founder & CEO, Jlynn Chen. Jlynn saw that the world's plastic pollution crisis would materially impact the future of her three children, so she decided to create a brand that would allow people to make small but impactful changes every day.

Planet First

The inspiration for The Powder Shampoo came to me when I thought about the world my children and grandchildren would grow up in. It was a moment of reflection, and I realized that many long-standing industry practices simply didn’t make sense in today’s world.

I envisioned a product that would retain the cleansing power and pleasure of foaming shampoos and body washes, while being effective, enjoyable, and easy to use. But just as important was the goal of creating it without plastic packaging.
